Temporary Residence Permit in Ukraine

A Temporary Residence Permit in Ukraine is an official document issued by the Migration Service of Ukraine on grounds provided by law, allowing you to legally reside in Ukraine for a specified period.

You can obtain a Temporary Residence Permit in Ukraine for a period of 1 to 3 years. The document can be renewed an unlimited number of times, provided the grounds for issuance remain valid.

If you plan to stay in Ukraine for more than 90 days or longer than the period allowed by your visa, obtaining a residence permit is necessary.

Do you want to reside in Ukraine without restrictions or risks? A Temporary Residence Permit is your key to legal stay and work!

The Process of Obtaining a Temporary Residence Permit in Ukraine

The process of obtaining a Temporary Residence Permit consists of several stages. At each stage, you will need professional legal assistance, which we can provide.

1. Grounds for a Temporary Residence Permit

You may already have valid grounds, or if your situation complies with the law, such grounds can be created. For instance, a company may want to invite you for employment, you may have a fiancée in Ukraine, or you may plan to start a business. In such cases, we can assist with obtaining a work permit, expedited marriage registration, or company registration in Ukraine.

2. D Visa

A D Visa is a mandatory step before applying for a Temporary Residence Permit. Ukraine offers 16 categories of D Visas depending on the grounds. For example, a D-04 Visa is issued for employment, while a D-14 Visa is issued for family reunification. Citizens of only six countries (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Uzbekistan) are exempt from obtaining a D Visa.

We will prepare the necessary package of documents for your visa application, register you for submission, and provide all the required information.

3. Applying for a Temporary Residence Permit

After obtaining the visa, you will have just over two months to apply for a Temporary Residence Permit. However, we recommend not delaying this process. At this stage, we prepare the required documents for the permit and accompany you during the submission. The permit will be issued within 15 working days. It can only be collected in person.

4. Registration of a Place of Residence in Ukraine

According to current legislation, all individuals residing in Ukraine must register their place of residence. This must be done within 30 days of obtaining the permit. If you have nowhere to register, we can help you solve this issue as well.

The process of document preparation may vary significantly depending on the grounds. For instance, to obtain a Temporary Residence Permit for employment, you must also obtain a tax identification number in Ukraine and notify the Employment Center about the employment of a foreigner. Failure to meet the required deadlines will result in the annulment of your documents, and you will have to restart the process, wasting time and money. This is why it is crucial to entrust the document preparation process to specialists.
